F1 in Schools is a STEM program for High School aged Students from year grades 7 – 12. It can be implemented by schools as an extra-curricular program or integrated into the curriculum, usually as a Design and Technology unit.

Our Story
Just as everyone who wants to have a good chance at winning a big competition our members got together for the project, got to know eachother better finally planned what were the most suitable functions for everyone. Once this project was over we became WAY2POLE.
Work is essential if we want to fullfil our goal but work alone wouldn't get us anywhere without monetary support. In order to fix this problem we aimed to acquire as many trustworthy sponsors as possible.
It is needless to say that we had a lot to learn and improve, in the first months since we all assembled and created WAY2POLE we did tones of research, visited factories and talked with professionals, everything in order to become the best team we could ever be.
With all the knowledge and funds we gathered, a couple weeks before the competition after countless hours of research and designing we finally managed to get our hands on our car model. It was without a doubt an important moment for the whole team even though it wouldn't be the last.
It was finally the day of the regional competition, it was nerve wracking for all of us but we didn't allow it to interfere with our determination. We put our hearts out and even though our car's performance wasn´t as good as the expected we still managed to place third and follow through to the national competition.
We made it to the nationals. It was the biggest step of them all. Now we know the other teams and most importantly, know exactly what we need to improve, so during the months following the regional competition we have been polishing all the edges that were yet to be polished
Portuguese teams, be ready WAY2POLE is on its way to prove its worth.
